Vacation

Vacation

Most people think of taking time off and doing what they enjoy. Whether it’s the beach on some coast, an adventure in another country, or skiing at their usual location that’s what excites them. As for me, I’ve done the beach. It was great during my teens and twenties since we had a place there. Europe is another vacation that’s been done more than once. Been to London, Paris, Austria, Italy, and other places either on my own or with family. Oh and as for skiing it was okay until the fear of heights got worse. The most memorable places have been Colorado, Vermont, and Switzerland. However, the one place I never tire or will say, “I’ve had enough” is Walt Disney World.

“Home” as they usually call it to those of us who love it so much is my favorite escape. Why? I get to do it all in one trip. Visiting different countries is possible in Epcot in one day or even two. I even get to try something new to eat and to shop. If a more relaxing day by the water is wanted, there is always the many pools at different resorts. Plus, if I want to add a bit of fun to my day, there is always the option of the water parks. Need to see a little snow? Then going to the Magic Kingdom for the Merry Christmas Party is exactly where to get some.

Yes, I know. It’s not the same thing as going to exact locations where I will experience the real thing but Walt Disney is where I know I get everything. No need to deal with the airport security. Luggage requirements don’t have to be observed. Flying in a cramped plane with other people sitting a bit too close to you isn’t the most fun experience. Taking a road trip is more my style. Packing up the trunk of the car with all my essentials, now that’s comfort. Listening to my favorite songs on the radio or on CD for four hours is my type of unwinding. So next time you see me heading north in my car remember one thing. I’m on vacation!
